The department of biochemistry established in the year 2001providing outstanding teaching in biochemical sciences,the department was expanded to provide MLT courses in in the year 2005, in the upcoming revision new course Diabetic educator is going to be introduced
The department of biochemistry providing under graduation course in biochemistry subject which ensures the fresh young minds are trained and oriented to create newer knowledge and innovative thinking .The department is running with 90 students in graduation ,diploma and other certificate courses.
Since its inception it has produced a number of bright students well placed in various premier institutions indulged in research work ,teaching profession ,employed as medical lab technicians ,as consultant in hospitals..
The department of biochemistry is benefitted from excellent and intellectual learning, e-learning facilities, linkages with nearbyuniversities, super specialty hospitals and other departments of the college.
The secrete of the department lies in academic environment and close ties between faculty and students, with such flexibility a regid discipline is maintained as far as the classes and labs are undertaken.

The department of biochemistry was establishment was established in the year 2005.Eversince from the establishment of the department has strong focus on excellence in education and research. The Dept. of Biochemistry offering the traditional B.Sc. (M.B.C) course and UGC sponsored COP Medical Lab Technician courses. In the academic year 2014-15 the department conducted a variety of events such as novel and innovative student study projects, Field visits, student seminars and guest lectures by Industrial Experts. Our students participated in Inter College Competitions and bagged first prizes in making short film, elocution, Essay writing competitions.
1.NEERAJA.VALLURU: 1.Presented a paper in an International conference on Emerging Science & Technologies-Impact on human health. Held at Vikram Simhapuri University – August 1st – 3rd .
2.Attended two day International conference on GENOMICS & STEM CELL held at K.B.N.College, Vijayawada.
3.Published an article titled “Banana Wastage as a potential nutrient for micro organisms “ in the Research journal of chemistry and Environment Vol .18,dec. 2014 with impact factor 0.64.
2.Syed Vazeeha Tahaseen lecturer in the department of Biochemistry has conducted regular curricular activities like teaching biochemistry papers ,conducting student seminars, quiz programmers , group discussions, and also student projects titled Estimation of Vitamin C in different fruits and vegetables ,Calculation of nutritive values of different food items, this project will added the students and extra skill to work as dietitians in hospitals ,and guest lecturers were arranged on Genetic engineered plants their applications ,our final year students got exposure to the biochemistry scientists by participating in National seminar on Trendy s in biochemistry, our students has visited to KL University departments ,department of tissue culture, dept of biotechnology, dept of genetic engineering ,dept of bioinformatics ,dept of microbiology and got lot of awareness on research methodology. As a member of Eco-club participated in many Eco-club programs. Attended work shop on ETHICS AND HUMAN VALUES, a work shop on SCINTOMETRIC TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR RESEARCH ANALYSIS, a National seminar on TRENDY S in Biochemistry, a national seminar on Psycho somatic disorders, And also participated in ORIENTATION COURSE conducted by UGC ACADEMIC staff college ANDHRA UNIVERSITY.
